Poppy Day

Poppy Day will be Friday, May 15. You will find American Legion members up and down Maple Street intersections in Effingham. They’ll be distributing poppies from 7:30 until noon.
Proceeds go to benefit veterans in need.
The poppy represents the flowers that grew voluntarily on the graves of soldiers during World War I in Europe and is now a symbol of remembrance for fallen soldiers.
