Barbershop On Broadway
The Coles County Chorus will present its 2026 Summer Show, “Barbershop on Broadway,” on Saturday, June 13, at 4 p.m. The show will be at EIU’s Doudna Fine Arts Center, located at 1860 7th Street in Charleston.
The performance will feature barbershop harmony arrangements of popular Broadway songs, along with guest appearances by award-winning ensembles. Special guests include Linc 182, the 2025 Illinois District Champion Quartet and international competitor, and the Sound of Illinois Chorus, a 12-time international qualifier and the 2025 Illinois District Champion Chorus. Both groups are recognized within the Barbershop Harmony Society for their competitive excellence.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under. They will be available through the Doudna Fine Arts Center box office at 217-581-3110 and online at the EIU box office and a link on their website: colescountychorus.com.
Members of both the Coles County Chorus and the Sound of Illinois Chorus will also compete in the Barbershop Harmony Society International Chorus Contest on July 3.
