Effingham St. Anthony hosted Shelbyville and Tuscola in boys and girls track competition Tuesday.
Shelbyville won the boys meet with 138 points followed by St. Anthony 73.
St. Anthony’s Eli Hiatt claimed two first place finishes. He won the 110 hurdles in 16.0 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 42.9.
Also taking first place finishes were Isaac Tays in the 800 in 2:08.9 minutes and the 1600 as Camden Bloemer won in 4:40.4.
The 4×200 relay team was a winner in 2:13.9. Members of the relay were Devin Grubb, Derek Hann, Victor Vegas and Marcus Geen.
The 4×400 relay team was a winner in 3:47.8 minutes. Riley Miller, Elijah Whitter, Oliver Kreke and Hiatt were the competitors.
The 4×800 relay team won in 9:01.0. Camden Bloemer, Kreke, Julius Ramos and Tays were team members.
Marcus Geen was a winner in the shot with a heave of 38 feet.
In the girls meet Shelbyville won with 113 points followed by St. Anthony 97.5 and Tuscola 42.5.
Reese Hoene claimed two victories. She won the 100 in 12.4 seconds and the 400 in 58.6.
Nora Niebrugge captured the 800 in 2:35.9 minutes. Liv Hoene was a winner in the 100 hurdles in 17.6 seconds. Madilyn Haarmann won the shot with a throw of 31 feet, 3 inches and took second in the discus at 29.21.
The 4×100 relay team of Rachel Emmerich, Sophia Emmerich, Cara Hatton and Audrey LaSarge won in 54.7 seconds. The 4×200 relay team of Hatton, LaSarge, Elisabeth Grunloh and S. Emmerich won in 1:59.9. The 4×400 relay team of Liv Hoene, LaSarge, R. Emmerich and Aubrey Denning won in 4:27.7.
