MATTOON — Mount Zion won the Mattoon High School Girls Track Invitational Tuesday.
The Braves scored 127 points followed by Robinson 82, Newton 69.5, Effingham 61, Teutopolis 50, Richland County, Olney 43.5, Salem 31, Centralia 28.5, Mattoon 28, Charleston 21.5 and Taylorville 16.
Effingham, Teutopolis and Newton had first, second and third place finishers in the meet.
The Hearts’ Camdyn Burgholzer was a winner in the high jump with a leap of 1.60 meters. Macy Kirk finished second in the 400 with a time of 1:01.20 minutes.
Keagyn Koenig took second in the shot with a throw of 10.88 meters. Kylie Pryor was second in the pole vault at 3.05 meters.
The Hearts’ 4×400 relay team of Kirk, Emery Spicer, Alyna Wade and Baylee Summers finished second in 4:15.49 minutes.
Summers finished third in the 800 in 2:25.73 minutes.
T-town’s Isabella Niebrugge won the 300 hurdles in 45.50 seconds and was second in the 100 with a time of 12.71 seconds. Bella Ordner captured second in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.16.
The Wooden Shoes 4×100 relay team of Emma Isley, Ordner, Adrienne Koester and Niebrugge finished in second in 50.78 seconds. Isley was third in the 200 in 26.81 seconds.
Newton’s Layna Marshall finished second in the 1600 with a time of 5:33.96 minutes and was second in the 3200 in 12:12.16. Stella Schackmann was second in the 200 in 26.60 seconds.
Schackmann also finished third in the 100 with a time of 12.83 seconds and was third in the long jump at 5.00 meters. Lena Fehrenbacher was a third place finisher in the triple jump at 9.55 meters.
The Eagles’ 4×800 relay team of Marshall, Avery Geier, Brooke Gentry and Heather Bergbower claimed second in 10:40.10 minutes.
