TOLEDO — Effingham St. Anthony captured a six-team girls high school track meet Tuesday at Cumberland.
The Bulldogs scored 165.5 points followed by Marshall 126.5, Casey-Westfield 110, Cumberland 81.5, Bethany Okaw Valley 30.5 and Stewardson-Strasburg 11.
Reese Hoene claimed two victories for the Bulldogs. She won the 100 in 12.91 seconds and the 200 in 26.42.
Aubrey Denning also was a double event winner taking the 800 in 2:22.0 minutes and the 1600 in 5:40.0.
Another double event winner was Liv Hoene who claimed the 100 hurdles in 17.83 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 50.24.
The 4×100 relay team won in 54.62 seconds and the Bulldogs claimed the 4×400 relay in 4:28.0 minutes.
St. Anthony’s Madilyn Haarmann won the shot with a heave of 9.76 meters and the discus with a throw of 27.91 meters.
Cumberland’s Hannah Shoemaker won the triple jump at 9.19 meters.
In the boys meet, Cumberland and Casey-Westfield scored 158 points each for first place followed by St. Anthony 81, Stewardson-Strasburg 73, Marshall 23 and Bethany Okaw Valley 3.
Cumberland’s Jacob Pierce was a winner in the 200 in 24.48 seconds while Cameron Roedl won the 800 in 2:04. Reed Miller was a winner in the long jump at 5.89 meters.
The Pirates’ 4×100 relay team won in 45.0 seconds while the 4×200 team won in 1:34.0.
St. Anthony’s 4×400 relay team won in 3:39 minutes while the 4×800 relay won in 9:08.
