Teutopolis swept the doubles and captured five of the six singles match to beat Effingham by an 8-1 count in high school tennis competition Thursday.
Abbie Lee was a winner at the No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-1 while Raegan Zerrusen took No. 2, 6-2, 6-3. Cecilia Donsbach was a winner at No. 3, 6-4, 6-0 and Emma Vahling took No. 4-6, 6-3, 10-8. Summer Vahling finished out the Wooden Shoes singles wins with a 6-2, 6-2 victory.
Effingham’s lone point was at No. 6 singles as Emery Spicer was a 4-6, 6-3, 14-12 winner.
In doubles, Donsbach and Probst won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1. Carly Witges and Grace Koester took No. 2, 6-4, 6-2. Lee and Zerrusen combined for a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 3.
