In singles competition Effingham’s Cannon Bockhorn lost in the first round to Bavel Muktar of Crystal Lake (South) 6-2, 6-4. He then fell in the first round consolation bracket to Aron Rivera of Sterling 6-1, 6-3.
Rece Kinney of Effingham lost in the opening round 6-0, 6-0 to Lake Forest’s Andrew Harris. Kinney defeated Brad Kneller from Rockford Christian 6-2, 6-3 before bowing out of the competition with a loss to Tim Jones of Crystal Lake (Prairie Ridge) 6-0, 6-1.
Teutopolis was represented in doubles by the duo of Derek Schmidt & Tommy Habing. They lost their first match to Dane Hutchison & Hunter Poole, Metamora 6-3, 6-1 before falling to Carbondale’s Alex Kadyrov & Jeb Meredith 7-6 (3) , 6-3 bringing their season to a close.
