Effingham High School continues to pick up victories in tennis action.
The Hearts added another victim, this time Apollo Conference opponent Mount Zion by a 7-2 tally Wednesday.
Rece Kinney was a 6-2, 6-3 winner at the No. 1 singles spot while Cannon Bockhorn claimed a 6-0, 6-3 victory at No. 2.
Joel Flack took the No. 3 win, 6-2, 6-2. Brady Wilson won at No. 4, 6-2, 6-3 and Noah Jones finished the singles victories at No. 5, 6-3, 6-3.
In doubles play, Kinney and Bockhorn came out the winners at No. 1, 7-6 (2), 6-3. Flack and Wilson lost their opening set 6-4 but came back strong to win the match 6-3, 10-8.
Effingham improved to 10-2 on the season and is right back in action today with a 4 p.m. contest against Effingham St. Anthony.
