DIETERICH — Dieterich and Robinson Nuttall played to a 7-7 tie in junior high softball action Friday.
Dieterich moved into a 3-1 opening inning lead but Nuttall came back to tie the game in the third. Dieterich moved ahead 5-3 in the fifth but, once again, here came Robinson Nuttall with a run in the sixth and moved ahead 7-5 in the top of the seventh.
Dieterich came back in the bottom of the frame to tie the score at 7-7.
Dieterich had six hits while Robinson Nuttall finished with eight errors. Dieterich was led by A. Koester with a single, double and two RBI, K. Douthit with three singles and R. Tegeler with an RBI.

At Effingham
Effingham moved into a 2-1 lead after two innings then broke the game wide apart with six in the third and four in the fourth to claim a 12-1 victory in five innings against Charleston Monday in the Class 3A Effingham Regional.
The Mustangs finished with five hits led by T. Patton with a single, triple and three RBI, L. Lauritzen with a double and three RBI, K. Robertson with a single and two RBI and A. Gouchenouer, M. Hartke and S. Wiedman with an RBI each.
S. Wiedman claimed the pitching win. She went four innings, giving up one run on one hit, one walk while striking out seven.
The Mustangs will now face Monticello Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
