Effingham St. Anthony banged out 16 hits and finished with a 22-10 victory over Flora in junior high softball competition Wednesday.

Flora held a 2-0 opening inning lead but the Bullpups came back with an 11-run second and ended this game in the fourth inning.

I. McDonald led the way for the winners with two singles, a double and an RBI, M. Hoke had a single, double and two RBI while E. Fearday had a double and two RBI. E. Galeener finished with three singles while E. Bierman had two singles and three RBI. A. Repking and R. Niebrugge had a single and an RBI each and K. Doty two RBI.

Fearday went four innings for the pitching win. She gave up six runs on two hits, eight walks and struck out eight.

South Central blanked Sigel St. Michael, 12-0 in four innings Wednesday.

The winners had six hits led by Lexy Garrettt and Raelyn Parker with two singles and an RBI each and Emory Burdine with a single and two RBI.

Aubree Simmons went the four innings on the mound, giving up no runs on five hits, no walks and striking out five.

St. Michael was led in hitting by Andrew with two singles.

North Clay dropped to 0-9 on the season and is back in action today at St. Elmo in a 4:30 p.m. contest.
