Junior High Softball – August 13 

Teutopolis took a huge lead in the second inning with a six run lead and went on for a 10-1 victory over Effingham.

The Wooden Shoes scored six in the second and finished with eleven hits led by Kynley Swingler, Payton Ruholl, Halle Hoene with two singles each. Hoene added a RBI.

Effingham had four hits led by Anna Gouchenour and Liv Lauritzen with a double each.

Teutopolis’ Ruholl pitched all seven innings giving up one run on four hits. She had eight strike-outs and gave up a walk.

Dieterich Junior High softball took a 14-0 victory over Ramsey in four innings on Thursday.

Dieterich edged out with a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Packed on three in the second, seven in the third, and finished with two in the fourth.

M.Tegeler and A.Icenogle both had a double. Tegeler added two RBI. Koester came in with two singles and four RBI.

Bruns pitched a three hitter with one walk and four strikeouts.

At Sigel 

Cowden-Herrick Beecher City took a 15-2 win over Sigel St. Michael on Thursday.  CHBC banged out 13 hits while holding St. Michael to two.

Wakefield led the way with a single, two doubles, and four RBI. While Jones had a single, double, and two RBI for the Bobcats.

Meanwhile, Prater tossed two innings of two hits while striking out six.

St. Michael’s two hits were singles by Dittamore and Walk.

Cisne hosted North Clay and sent the Cardinals home with a 22-6 loss Thursday.

North Clay drops to 0-4 and returns to action next Tuesday against St. Joe at 4:30 p.m.
