Altamont Indians played host to the Knights of Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond on the soccer field Friday and ended game with a 3-1 win.
They were down the first half and came back in the second half with a 30 yard kick from the Aiden Rosales making a huge kick to tie the game 1-1 before halftime.
In the second half, a penalty shot lined up a opening and a bounce pass put the ball in range and made the kick to Eli Barnes.
The defense was at a battle the whole game. The Knights were given a penalty kick for a hard challenge.
Altamont keeper Eli Barnes made a great ground save to maintain the game 3-1 and the Indians ended the game with a win.
At St. Anthony
St. Anthony Bulldogs took a loss Friday to Robinson 2-1 on the soccer field.
In the first half, the Bulldogs made some mistakes and that put Robinson up to score, and the Bulldogs fought back.
Joey LaSarge drew penalty shot and made the shot within about 10 minutes left on the clock.
Jackson LaSarge was the MVP playing many positions.
“Even though we lost, I am very proud of the way we played and the fight of our team” said couch Reyes”
All players were double teamed and worked hard to come back mid half. It was a good game and look forward to playing Monday.
