World Wide Technology Raceway will welcome NASCAR drivers Chase Briscoe and Ricky Stenhouse Jr., award-winning gospel music icon BeBe Winans, and Pastor David MacNeill of The Crossing Church for a special race morning worship service on Sunday, Sept. 13, prior to the Enjoy Illinois 300 NASCAR Cup Series race and Confluence Music Festival.
The annual pre-race church service, held on the Turn 4 Stage, has become a cherished tradition at WWT Raceway, bringing together race fans, competitors, officials, performers and families from around the world for a time of worship, reflection and fellowship before one of the Midwest’s premier sporting events.
Briscoe and Stenhouse Jr. will share personal testimonies about their faith journeys and discuss the role faith plays in their lives and racing careers. The service also will feature a special musical presentation by BeBe Winans and Friends, performing “A Salute to Dolly Parton’s Gospel Roots,” a collection of some of Dolly Parton’s favorite gospel songs.
Pastor David MacNeill will lead the service and deliver the morning message.
“WWT Raceway has always been a faith-based facility, and our race morning church service is one of the most meaningful traditions we have throughout the year,” said Curtis Francois, owner and CEO of World Wide Technology Raceway. “Before we celebrate the speed, competition and excitement of NASCAR, we take time to celebrate the grace that makes it all possible. This service brings together fans, officials, drivers, performers and their families from around the world in a spirit of gratitude, faith and fellowship. It is a powerful reminder of the values that unite us and why this event means so much to our racing community.”
The service is open to all race attendees and festival guests.
