CARMI — Thirteen races were contested at the White County Fair Tuesday and nine drivers guided those winners to the finish line first.
Newton’s JD Finn claimed two of those victories. He led Rk’s Upinsmoke to the win in the ISA 2-Year-Old Colt-Gelding Pace, Division 1. The pair went the distance in 2:03 4/5. Stan Swisher is the trainer.
Finn then took Voomster to a win in the ISA 2-Year-Old Filly Trot, Division 2. The pair crossed the finish line in 2:03 2/5. Dennis Gardner owns and trained Voomster.
Wyatt Avenatti was a winner in two races behind the sulky. His first win came in the 2-Year-Old Colt/Gelding Pace, Division 2 with Fox Valley Agate. The duo went the distance in 2:03.0.
Avenatti then won behind Shellysuecandoitto in the Nonwinners $1,500 Pace AE: Maidens AE: 2-Year-Olds, Division 1. Avenatti guided the winner across the line in 2:02 3/4. Phillip Cotton is the trainer.
Charles Arthur was a winner in the bike twice. Arthur took Shopping Party to the win in the opening race on the card, the ISA 2-Year-Old Filly Pace in 2:03 2/5 and won behind G Lucky Gem in the ISA 2-Year-Old Filly Trot, Division 2 with a time of 2:11 4/5. Arthur trained both horses.
Issac Love also guided two winners in the bike. He went the distance with Restless Angel in the ISA 3-Year-Old Filly Pace. The duo won in 2:00 4/5. Love then won behind Lou’s Tru Lou in 2:03 2/5. Shawn Nessa trained both winners.
Matthew Avenatti drove two winners. He picked up a victory behind Fox Valley Endzone in the ISA 3-Year-Old Colt/Gelding Pace in 2:01 2/5. Tanner Saltsgave owns and trained Fox Valley Endzone.
Avenatti then came back in the Nonwinners $1,500 Pace AE: Maidens, Ae: 2-Year-Olds Division 2 with Brandt Abrahm. The duo won in 2:06 3/5. Thomas Graham Jr. is the trainer.
