PADUCAH, KY — Heavy rainfall received Friday morning and future weather models showing more precipitation later in the evening have canceled the DIRTcar Summer Nationals and Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals events at Paducah International Raceway. Additionally, Lincoln Speedway will be taking LaSalle Speedway’s date on July 2 due to electrical damages from recent storms.
High winds caused by storms that swept through the region Wednesday evening have severely damaged the power grid and electronic infrastructure at LaSalle, rendering the facility inoperable. After a thorough assessment and consultation with experts, the track has determined that full repair is not possible in time to host its Summer Nationals event on July 2, leading officials to cancel the Freedom 40.
Fans who purchased tickets in advance through MyRacePass will automatically receive refunds in the coming days.
In its place, Track Enterprises has agreed to take the July 2 date and will host both the Late Models and Summit Modifieds at Lincoln Speedway. Lincoln was originally set to host both tours on June 21 before rain canceled the program.
This reshapes the map of the Week 4 schedule for the Hell Tour’s 40th anniversary season, starting with a debut at Camden Speedway Monday, June 29, followed by visits to Old No.1 Speedway, Farmington Empire Speedway, Lincoln, Red Hill Raceway, and Highland Speedway before concluding the week with the most prestigious event of the season — the 46th running of the Herald & Review 100 at Macon Speedway on Sunday, July 5.
If you can’t make it to the track, how can you watch the DIRTcar Summer Nationals? Every event is broadcast live on DIRTVision.
