The Effingham Athletic Department runs an Athlete of the Month program each month. Athletes are nominated by head coaches and then voted on by all coaches. Winners receive recognition and a Treign Athlete of the Month shirt. Nomination criteria is as follows: Stats, Accomplishments, Character, Coachability, Leadership and Sportsmanship
Congratulations to this month’s winners:

Kennedi Mulheron- JH Track (7th Grade)
Kennedi has truly impressed us this year with her performance in the high jump, at times clearing heights taller than she is herself. She consistently works to improve her skills, takes advice to heart, and immediately puts it into action. While she may be small in stature, she is incredibly mighty and continually proves herself against tough competition. Kennedi has already cleared state-qualifying height multiple times this season, and we are excited to see what she can accomplish at sectionals. — Coach Nancy Ervin

Trenton Partlow – JH Track (8th Grade)
Trenton has continued to dedicate himself to improving as a runner, consistently lowering his times in both the 1600- and 800-meter races. He is always asking questions about how he can improve, listens carefully to advice and suggestions, and then puts in the work to apply them. Trenton is also willing to step outside his comfort zone by trying other events and filling in wherever needed, especially in relays. He sets a great example for younger runners through his strong work ethic, leadership, and dedication to the sport. — Coach Nancy Ervin
