Night One of the 2026 EIC/MTC Baseball Tournament was played Tuesday.
Brownstown/St. Elmo blanked Ramsey 16-0 in one contest. In the other game, CHBC defeated Mulberry Grove 19-6.
Today, Ramsey plays at Mulberry Grove at 4:15pm, while CHBC is at BSE at 4:15pm.
The finals will be played Thursday at 4:15pm and 7pm at Greenville University.

South Central edged Altamont 3-2 Tuesday.
Altamont took a 1-0 lead in the first, but South Central tied it up with a run in the second. South Central moved ahead 2-1 in the fifth, but Altamont tied it in the sixth. A base hit for the Cougars in the bottom of the seventh won the game.
Hoover had three hits to pace the South Central attack. Bell homered for Altamont.

Neoga nipped Teutopolis 2-1 in another dandy game.
Neoga scored in the first, Teutopolis scored in the sixth to tie the contest 1-1, but Neoga scored in the seventh to post the win.
Fearday got the win in relief for Neoga, while Niebrugge went the distance for the Shoes but took the loss. The pitchers only allowed seven hits in the game.

Teutopolis downed St. Anthony 20-7 in JV action Tuesday. Despite the volume of runs, there were no home runs in the contest.

North Clay defeated Dieterich 11-4 in varsity action Tuesday. The Cardinals improved to 6-9 but 4-2 in National Trail Conference action.
