Altamont and Nokomis won in opening round play of the IESA Class 1A Nokomis Baseball Regional Thursday.
Nokomis claimed the first game victory, 17-2 over Mulberry Grove.
In the second game, Altamont blanked Ramsey, 12-0.
Edinburg defeated Findlay Okaw Valley 10-6 in the third contest.
Altamont Lutheran faces Nokomis at 10 a.m. Saturday while Altamont meets Edinburg at noon.
The winners advance to the championship game Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
Class 1A Sigel St. Michael Regional
Neoga edged Villa Grove 2-1 Thursday to advance.
Neoga will now meet Arcola Saturday at 10 a.m.
In the second contest, Sigel St. Michael edged Martinsville 5-4. St. Michael will now take on Paris Crestwood at 12:45 p.m. Saturday.
Class 1A Effingham Sacred Heart Regional
North Clay and Oblong were winners in opening round play of the Sacred Heart Regional.
North Clay defeated Effingham Sacred Heart, 11-1.
In the second contest, Oblong blanked Palestine, 15-0.
Dieterich and North Clay meet Saturday at 9 a.m. while Newton St. Thomas and Oblong square off at 11 a.m.
The winners advance to the championship game Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
Class 2A Casey-Westfield Regional
Casey-Westfield picked up an opening round win in its own regional. The homestanders defeated Lawrenceville Parkview, 10-2.
The second game went to Jasper County over Red Hill (Bridgeport), 14-1.
Paris Mayo then defeated Kansas 5-2.
Marshall and Casey-Westfield meet Saturday at 10 a.m. while Jasper County and Paris Mayo square off at noon.
The winners then advance to the championship game Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
Class 2A Teutopolis Regional
The Teutopolis vs. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City game was postponed from Thursday due to the heat.
Cumberland handed Brownstown/St. Elmo an 8-4 loss.
Teutopolis will meet Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City at 4 p.m. today. The winner will advance to face Cumberland at noon Saturday.
Class 3A Mount Zion Regional
Effingham edged Mattoon 3-2 in the first game of the Mount Zion Regional.
The second game will be played today at 4 p.m. featuring Monticello against Charleston.
Effingham will next meet Tolono Unity Saturday at 8 a.m. followed by Mount Zion against either Monticello or Charleston at 10.
The winners of those two games meet Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. for the regional championship.
