MULBERRY GROVE — Altamont moved into a 2-0 opening inning lead against Mulberry Grove and went on to end this game via the 10-run rule by a 17-0 count Thursday in high school baseball action.

R. Stuemke and K. Davis combined to toss a two-hitter. Stuemke went four innings, allowing no runs on two hits, no walks and striking out three. Davis came on to toss the final inning and had one strikeout.

X. Logue led the way in hitting with a single, double, triple and four RBI. P. Bell had a double and two RBI while C. Milleville added two singles and two RBI and M. Everett two singles and one RBI. J. Hunt finished with a single and three RBI, L. Berg a single and an RBI and J. Childerson an RBI.

At Greenville

Brownstown/St. Elmo broke loose with six runs in the third inning and went on for an 8-2 victory over Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran in a game played at Greenville University Thursday.

The Bombers finished with 14 hits. Jayce Gillespie had a single, triple and three RBI while Logan Lach had a single, triple and one RBI. Gavin Schnarre added a double and an RBI while Dodge Willms finished with an RBI.

Drayden Bogart had three singles and an RBI and Nolan Wilhour and Calvin Voelker two singles and an RBI each.

BSE improved to 6-4 on the season and is back in action today at Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg.

At Kinmundy

Odin/Patoka handed South Central a 14-11 loss Thursday.

South Central held an 11-10 lead but Odin/Patoka came back in the sixth inning to score three runs for a 13-11 lead then tacked on a final run in the seventh for the victory.

South Central finished with six hits by Luke Shumate, Aiden Hoover, Ryker Dodson, Aiden Strobel, Sebastian Kruger and Garrett Shmate.

L. Shumate had three RBI while Strobel and Kruger had two RBI each. Ryker Dodson added an RBI.

 

At St. Anthony

Effingham St. Anthony claimed a junior varsity victory over Neoga by a 6-2 count Thursday.

Neoga outhit the Bulldogs 10-6. B. Lin had three singles and an RBI while L. Becker, B. Matusas and B. Strobl had two single each. J. Finney added a single and an RBI.

St. Anthony was led by P. Coulter with a double, L. Roewe with three singles and an RBI, K. Kiefer with a single and an RBI and A. Wagner and E. Bales with an RBI each.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg hosted Teutopolis and sent the Wooden Shoes home with a 6-4 loss in freshman/sophomore action Thursday.

WSS moved into a 1-0 lead in the second inning then added on three runs in the third. T-town tied the score with a run in the fifth and three in the sixth.

But Windsor/Stew-Stras tallied two more runs in the bottom of the sixth.

A. Wascher led WSS with two doubles and an RBI while T. Thompson had a single, double and an RBI. K. Howe finished with a single and two RBI.

T-town was led by D. Ruholl and R. Miller with a double each. Ruholl added an RBI. D. Thompson had two singles and an RBI.
