Effingham St. Anthony blanked Charleston 15-0 in three innings of junior high baseball competition Tuesday.

The Bullpups moved into a 5-0 opening inning lead, then tallied nine in the second and ended the game in the third with a run.

Brooks Niebrugge had a single and double for the winners while Cameron McAllaster had a triple and an RBI. Ryan Wohltman and Nash Hoene added a double and an RBI each.

Dylan Verdeyen went two innings on the mound. He did not give up a hit while striking out one and walking two.

Teutopolis played host to Effingham and sent the Mustnags home with a 9-3 loss Tuesday.

The Wooden Shoes finished with 10 hits and was aided by four Effingham errors.

C. Koester had a single, double and an RBI while M. Kocher had a double and an RBI, D. Althoff a double and E. Weidner a triple and an RBI. Sandschafer added a single and had two RBI.

Effingham was led by L Eckert with a double and K. Koeberlein with a single and an RBI.

Koester went six innings, giving up three runs on three hits, two walks and striking out four.
