Richard Morris “Rick” Burson, Jr., 64 of Panama City, Florida passed away on August 7, 2026. He was born on October 4, 1961.
There will be a Memorial service this Saturday October 17th at the Watson Civic Center at 12:30.
Rick served in the USAF for 21 years and was a GS-9 for 16 years at Tyndall AFB. He loved movies and music, with an extensive collection of both.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard M. Burson, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Shea Burson of 29 years; daughters, Elizabeth Burson and fiancé Ryan Cluff and Madeline Durham and partner Mara Durham; mother, Linda Jean Burson; siblings, Yvonne Roberts, Tony Furst (Carla), Tim Burson, and Laura Kessler (Scott).
He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews, and their spouses and children along with his best friends Scott Sapp and Perry Murbarger; his sweetie kitty, Crookshanks and her brother, Nacho.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
