Joan C. Koester, 88, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 2026 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham, concluding with a rosary.
