Russell Max Shull, Jr. (Mike), 75, of Greenup, Illinois passed away Friday, September 4th, 2026, peacefully at his home.
Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday September 10, 2026, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup. Celebration of life services will begin at 7:00 pm, also at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery at a later date.
Mike was born on September 20th, 1947, in Mattoon, Illinois to Max and Barbara (Barger) Shull. He married Linda (Massie) Shull on June 26th, 1966.
Surviving is his sons, Scott (wife Lori Sparks) Shull, and Clint (wife Christy) Shull. His grandchildren are Haley (husband Jacob) Smith; Zack (wife Allison) Shull, Tiffany (husband Trevor) Will, Seth Shull and Mathew Shull. His great grandchildren are Blakey and Brinley Smith and Emmett and Haley Will.
He was preceded in death by his parents (Max and Bob), wife Linda and his sister Becky Jane.
Mike owned and operated Shull’s Plumbing and Heating for over 45 years. Mike was a 3rd degree Mason with a 32nd degree Scottish Rites. He was a member of Toledo Masonic Lodge #834 A.F. and A.M. for 50 years and the Danville Consistory for over 50 years. Mike and Linda enjoyed many of their winters in Okeechobee, Florida. For a few years, Mike coached his son’s baseball team. He liked NASCAR, collectable race cars and he liked gardening but most of all he loved his family.
