Pamela Kaye “Pam” Araiza age 68, of Effingham, Illinois passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital, Effingham, Illinois.
Cremation rites will be accorded. No formal services are being planned.
Pam was born on July 5, 1958, in Charleston, Illinois. She was the daughter of John Melvin and Dorothy Marie (Huddleston) Cushman. Pam was a graduate of Stewardson – Strasburg High School, Class of 1976. Pam spent her life as a mother, grandmother and homemaker. Her favorite times were spent with her family and the ones she loved.
In her free time, Pam enjoyed riding horses. She loved crafting, especially oil painting. She loved the thrill of the hunt at the local thrift stores and never missed an area yard sale. Whether she was going out or staying in, Pam liked to be “put together” and especially loved having her nails done.
Pam will be forever loved and remembered by her children, Mindi Jenkins of Robinson, IL, Ashley Solano of Destin, FL, Devin Radloff of Shelbyville, IL, Siarra Araiza of Champaign, IL and Dallas Araiza of DeFuniak Springs, FL; nine grandsons; five granddaughters; one great-grandson; brother, Chuck Cushman of Shelbyville, IL and sister, Kathy Gray of Newton.
Her father, John Cushman, mother and step-father, Dorothy and Gale Kuhring and sister, Sandy Bell preceded her in death.
