Lee Orville Swinson, age 79, of Olney, Illinois, passed away on August 15, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.

Lee was born on December 1, 1946, in Olney, Illinois, the son of Orville and Opal (Bare) Swinson. Lee married his wife Sharon Hunt on May 15, 2006, in Louisville, Illinois and she survives.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM. at the Antioch Christian Church rural Olney, Illinois, with a visitation for family and friends for 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the care of Meyer Funeral Home in Olney. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Sharon Swinson to help with expenses. Lee loved working on and restoring old cars, teaching his children and grandchildren how to work on them also. Lee would spend time with his family and friends and would sit on the front porch with his dogs and talk to any person who would stop by. He never knew a stranger.

Lee is survived by: His wife Sharon Swinson of Olney, Illinois; Children: Terry (Henrietta) Swinson of Cottondale, Florida; Angela (Von) Muhs of Noble, Illinois; Cindy Carroll of Noble, Illinois; Tony (Danielle) Swinson of Noble Illinois; Warren (fiancé Casey Rinehart) Swinson of Olney, Illinois; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; his little buddy grandson Kayden; brothers: David (Kelly) Swinson of Olney, Illinois; Terry Swinson of Olney, Illinois; Bruce ( Lisa) Swinson of Olney, Illinois; sister; Kathy Swinson of Olney, Illinois; step-mother; Sara Swinson of Olney, Illinois;
Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends that know him, especially his life-long friends William (Bill) Schnell and Dave Cantrell and his special dog Bear Bear.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents Orville and Opal (Bare) Swinson, in-laws Raymond (Buck) and Hazel Hunt, brother Robert (Bob) Swinson and infant great-grandchild.
