Donald J. Grobengieser, 84, of Altamont, Illinois died Monday June 22, 2026 after a lingering illness at the Stonebridge Senior Living Center in Effingham, Illinois.
Don was a long-time owner of Grobengieser and Sons Hardware and Appliances in both Altamont and Effingham, Illinois. Don was very active in his community as a business owner and as active in the Altamont community.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul ELC Lutheran Church, Altamont, Illinois with Christian burial rites in the Church Cemetery. A complete obituary and photo will follow with the approval of the family, as soon as they can arrive in Altamont to conclude final dates. Arrangements are incomplete at the Kull Funeral Chapel, Altamont, Illinois.
