Larry F. Andrews age 87, of Willow Hill, Illinois passed away Monday, June 22, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, Indiana.

Funeral services honoring Larry’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Crain Funeral Home, Newton, Illinois with Pastor Dave Thompson officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m., Friday until time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, rural Willow Hill, Illinois.

Larry was born on January 4, 1939, in Newton, Illinois, the son of Foster and Garnet (Dart) Andrews. On April 3, 1960, Larry married Patricia Bruner. She survives. Larry was a retired truck driver for Jesse B. Holt and Kirchner Building Center. For many years, Larry served on the Willow Hill town board and on the Willow Hill Fire Department. Larry found joy in life’s simple pleasures — mowing the yard, traveling with family, and spending time with his grandchildren. He happily drove the family on trips to Niagara Falls, Ohio, and Nashville, creating memories that will be cherished forever. One of his favorite adventures was visiting Loretta Lynn’s home, meeting Patsy Lynn, and hearing her sing. He loved taking evening drives to enjoy the wildlife and beautiful scenery, never missing the chance to tease his special girl, Pat, and make those around him smile. His grandchildren will always remember learning to drive on his lawn mower, his playful habit of finishing their dinners so there was always room for dessert and entertaining Larry and Pat with singing. He also loved working puzzles, carefully starting with the border while a grandchild worked from the middle, proving that together they could always meet in the middle.

Larry will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of sixty-six years, Patricia Andrews; his children, Charles (Marie) Andrews, Donald (Viola) Andrews, Robin Andrews Paddick, and Tommy (Michelle) Andrews; seven grandchildren, Kenneth, Jessi, Lisa, Kimberly, Jenna, Mackenzie, and Macy; fourteen great-grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and sisters Linda Newkirk and Diane Duran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Don Andrews, Richard Andrews, Sanford Andrews, Janet Andrews and grandsons Dallas Andrews and Dalton Andrews.
