Roger Shick Jr. Age 42 of Effingham, Illinois, passed away Sunday June 14, 2026 in the HSHS St John’s Hospital Springfield, Illinois.
He was born February 25, 1984 the son of Roger and Christina (Grieco) Shick. He loved fishing, camping, canoeing and kayaking. Roger loved animals especially reptiles. He also had a passion for Dragon Ball Z. Roger was happiest when he was spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his mother Christina Shick; sister, Kimberly (Michael) Esker; children, Jayden Reynolds, Mikenzie Shick, Domenic Shick, Roger Shick III, Melanie Shick; grandchildren, Jax Reynolds, Dax Reynolds, and Mali Reynolds; uncles and aunts, Larry (Alicia) Schwerdt, Ken (Becky) Brown, Nick (Sharon) Grieco; niece and nephew, Manessah Esker and Nehemiah Esker; best friend Stefanie Pocrnich.
He was preceded in death by his father Roger Shick.
