Bobby D. “Bob” Reynolds, age 69, of Yale, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 6:00 AM on Friday, May 22, 2026, at his home.
Services celebrating Bob’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the Plainfield Community Church, 17605 North 1280th Street, Hidalgo, Illinois (East of Rose Hill). A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM at the church. In loving memory of Bob, memorials may be made to the family. Bobby, known by his family and friends as Bob, was born on November 4, 1956, in Cumberland County, Illinois, the son of Virgil and Dorothy (Meeks) Reynolds. Bob was a hard worker, working as an operator in the Oil fields. He enjoyed the outdoors fishing, camping, shooting his guns and working in his yard. His greatest love was his family, especially his grandkids and great grand babies.
Bob is survived by: Wife – Susan Reynolds of Yale, Illinois; Children – Billie Reynolds Cavazos, Justin Reynolds and Travis (Nichole) Reynolds all of Newton, IllinoisStep-Children – Jill McCartney and Shawn McCartney both of Tuscola, Illinois; Granddaughter whom he raised – Courtney (Luke) Hicks; 19 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren; Sisters – Dorothy Mae (Terry) Goble, Margaret Goble, Sharon (Rick) Goldman, Opal Keys and Alice (Onnie) Diaz.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Donald Reynolds, Kenneth Reynolds, Virgil Reynolds and Ronald Lee Reynolds, grandson Christopher West and granddaughter Aliyah Reynolds
