David L. “Huffy” Huffman, 65, of Dieterich, IL, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at his home.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham, IL. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family in the care of Jennifer Carder. Online condolences may be shared at www.johnsonandsonsfh.com.
David was born on February 7, 1961 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Marion and Leola (Churchill) Huffman. David was a loving and caring man who would do anything for anyone that asked. He worked as a tow truck driver for Tri Power Towing & Recovery in Effingham for many years. He loved his dogs.
David is survived by his son, David Bailey; son, Jason Followell; daughter, Misty Burkhamer; many grandchildren; his siblings; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marion Huffman and mother, Leola Huffman Matteson; son, Sgt. Cody Huffman; one sister, Janice; and life-long partner, Tina Huffman.
