John Tague, 76, of rural St. Elmo, IL died at 5:16 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2026 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont with Pee Wee Denton officiating. Family requests casual attire. Private family burial will be at Jewett Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
John Gary Tague was born on Tuesday, April 4, 1950 in St. Louis, MO to John Hulbert and Esther Mae Postlewaite Tague. He married Nancy Holding on October 23, 1993. He was retired from Equity, Altamont.
In addition to his wife of over 32 years, he is survived by; his brother, Danny (Janet) Tague, Montrose; and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister in infancy; and one nephew.
