Lucas Lee Lawrence, age 45, passed away unexpectedly in his home in Altamont, Illinois, on Monday, April 20, 2026.
Born on April 30, 1980, in Columbus, Ohio, Lucas was a dedicated father and cherished brother.
He leaves behind his son Atticus Lawrence; daughter, Courtney Hybarger; and many other beloved family members.
Lucas had an undeniable zest for life that inspired those around him. Atticus and family were his greatest joy, and he shared countless outdoor adventures often filled with hunting and fishing. Lucas’ adventurous, kind, and humorous spirit will be deeply missed. When not enjoying the outdoors, Lucas could be found at work. As the owner of Attention to Detail, a respected car detailing shop, Lucas was known for his meticulous work and dedication to his craft.
A memorial visitation to remember Lucas’ life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1110 N. 4th Street, Effingham, IL.
