As construction continues on the Sarah Bush Lincoln Regional Cancer Center expansion, the SBL Health Foundation is pleased to announce that, as part of its Expanding Hope Campaign,
the 2026 Holiday Festival will support the project.
The Holiday Festival kicks off at 8 am, Thursday, Nov. 12, when the online auction opens to the public. The auction can be accessed at www.sarahbush.org/holidayfestival, and the auction
closes at 6 pm on Monday, Nov. 16.
After the Festival begins on Nov. 12, the weekend houses more events for the public to enjoy. From 11 am to 7 pm on Friday, Nov. 13, community members can visit the SBL Lumpkin Education Center to see the live and online auction items in person and purchase holiday items at the SBL Gift Shop’s Pop Up Holiday Boutique. From 3 to 7 pm, children can visit Santa as part
of “Cookies with Claus.”
If you cannot attend the festivities but still want to support the SBL Regional Cancer Center expansion, you can purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a week-long trip to Aqua Sol
Hilton Vacation Club in Winter Garden, Florida, and $1,500 cash, all donated by Mike and Jayne Genta.
The raffle winner will enjoy a 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo at Aqua Sol from March 20 to March 27. Raffle tickets are available for $5 each, or three for $10. Rounding out the weekend is the Gala, Dinner and Live Auction, which kicks off at 5:30 pm on
Saturday, Nov. 14. Tickets for the gala are sold out, but you can still purchase a gala raffle ticket for $100.
The gala raffle winner will have the opportunity to view the live auction items on Nov. 13 and if their ticket is drawn, will win one of the elite gala live auction items. You need not be present to
win.
The Regional Cancer Center was built in 2016 and since, patient volume has soared. Just since 2020, the number of patient visits has nearly doubled, in part due to an aging population, but
there’s also a national trend in younger people being diagnosed with cancer.
SBL Health Foundation Director Amy Card emphasized that the campaign is about far more than construction. “When someone gives to Expanding Hope, they’re directly touching the lives of friends, neighbors and family members who are fighting cancer,” she said. “It’s a way for all of us to remind our patients they are never alone in their journey.”
