The Jasper County Pregnancy and Infant Loss Group will hold its 10th annual Wave of Light event on Thursday, October 15, at the White Oak Area of Sam Parr State Park in Newton.

As part of the international Wave of Light remembrance, families, friends, and community members will come together to honor babies whose lives were lost during pregnancy or infancy. During this special evening of remembrance, names will be read, candles will be lit to illuminate paper bags bearing the names of these precious babies, and a quiet moment will be shared in their memory.

For families who have experienced the loss of a baby, the love and memories remain long after the loss. The Wave of Light gathering provides a gentle space to remember these cherished children, honor their lives, and find comfort in the support of others who understand.

Everyone is welcome to join this meaningful evening of remembrance, whether honoring a child personally or standing beside a family member, friend, or neighbor who is grieving. Together, the community can help keep the memories of these precious babies shining brightly.

To have a name added to our list for reading please text or call in advance.
