The Brownstown School District handled multiple items last Monday during their monthly meeting.
The board approved the budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.
The board approved the hiring of Utz Architect and Fulk Construction to complete the lintel replacement and truck-pointing project.
Adopted a Risk Management Plan for the 2026-2027 school year; Reached a Health Service Agreement with Paula Gephart; Accepted a Letter of Retirement from Patricia Booher; Approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the BEA regarding a Special Education caseload stipend
For the Athletic Director to pursue the addition of Cross Country as a fall athletic program
Approved Robert Miller as President of the Board of Education on an interim basis, and to advertise for the vacant position on the Brownstown CUSD Board of Education.
Lastly, the Board approved the resignation of Donald Bloemker as School Board Member, and employed Samantha Elliot as Paraprofessional.
