Effingham Public Library board members Monday discussed the annual fund drive and outdoor enhancements that the fund could finance.
Library Director Amanda McKay said the area targeted for improvements is on the north side of the library property. Three large trees are located in the area. McKay said board members are considering benches and planters for the area, as well as a better spot for the bike rack.
The annual fund drive is scheduled for later this year.
Board members discussed a draft Fiscal Year ’28 tax levy. McKay said the board is waiting on the library EAV from the County, but said the County is still waiting on the EAV from the State. She said information available to date indicates a 2.6% increase in revenue.
McKay also reminded the Board of a strategic planning meeting on October 19, and an upgrade on the library’s HVAC monitoring system to help determine the remainder of its useful life.
