Homecoming activities at Effingham High School begin Sunday afternoon.
This year’s Homecoming theme is “A Night in Rio”.
The celebrating will begin with the Homecoming Parade Sunday at 3pm. The procession will line up on 2nd Street behind Effingham Public Library, then head west on Jefferson Avenue to Cherry Street, travel south on Cherry to Grove Avenue, and travel west on Grove to EHS.
The parade will be followed by the 2026 Powder Puff game at 4:30pm on Klosterman Field at Washington Savings Bank Stadium, where the girls will play with the football players serving as the coaches. Game donations will go to the Christmas Store. The Toppins Self Serve and EffingTaco Truck will be at the game.
The EHS Homecoming Court includes Seniors Maci Hayes, Macy Kirk, Ryann Levin, Aryanna Hazelton, Jude Traub, Leo Wyckoff, Rece Kinney and Maxx Kistler; Juniors Taylor Feldhake, Adria Smith, TJ Raddatz and Sam Waymoth; Sophomores Alexis Hopkins, Cora Bierman, Nolan Dixon and Wade Robison; and Freshmen Hope Longoria, Rhylee Holland, Reuben Jansen and Roman Martin.
