A local man has been arrested on sex-related offenses.
Illinois Attorney General Police arrested 54-year-old Travis J. Gillespie at a local motel Thursday morning. Gillespie was arrested on two counts of possession of sex abuse material and a charge of failure to register as a sex offender.
Gillespie is being held in Effingham County Jail. He will be in court Friday morning to see whether he will be denied pre-trial release.
