Altamont City Council members Monday approved the plan for Schuetzenfest activities.

The Council agreed to close the alley behind the Whistle Stop and Luke’s Bar and Grill from 11am to midnight on September 26, and agreed to extend the time for live music that night from 11pm to midnight.

Council members also agreed to a street closure on Second Street from Jackson Avenue to John Adams Avenue for Pagel Fest. Pagel Fest is a family get-together that over 40 years has turned into a benefit. The street closure will be from 10am to 10pm on August 29.

The Council tabled action on a special use permit for home occupation for a day spa at 208 Unit A North 10th Street, to obtain more information. A special use permit was approved, though, for a one-unit dwelling at 104 North 3rd Street. Also tabled was a change order on a water main replacement project.
