Here’s the schedule for the Effingham Unit #40 school year:
Wednesday, August 12 is the first day of attendance for students. Buses will transport students to and from school. Exceptions are the Early Learning Center, East Side Preschool, and South Side students, who should be taken by parents or guardians to and from school.
South Side will utilize the first day August 12th for their Meet the Teacher event. ELC and East Side Preschool will utilize August 12th and 13th for their Meet the Teacher event.
Effingham High School on August 12-13-14 start time is 7:45am and dismissal time is 1:50pm. As of August 17, the EHS school day will be 7:45am to 2:50pm.
Effingham Junior High on August 12-13-14 start time is 8am and dismissal time is 2pm. As of August 17, the EJHS school day will be 8am to 3pm.
Central School on August 12-13-14 start time is 8am and dismissal time is 2pm. As of August 17, the Central school day will be 8am to 3pm.
East Side Preschool–Parents of students who have registered school have received a letter indicating the day and time that they will take their child on Wednesday, August 12th or Thursday, August 13th for the Meet the Teacher event. On Friday, August 14th transportation will be available, morning preschool students will attend from 8:15 to 10:50am, afternoon preschool students will attend from 12:15 to 2pm. Beginning August 17th, morning preschool students will attend from 8:15 to 10:50am and afternoon preschool students will attend from 12:15 to 2:50pm.
South Side School parents of students who have registered should have received a letter indicating the day and time that they will take their child on Wednesday, August 12. The first day of attendance will be Thursday, August 13th and the second day will be Friday, August 14th with transportation provided both days. The class day will be 8am to 2pm both days. On August 17th, the class day will be from 8am to 2:50pm.
At the ELC, parents of students who have registered should have received a letter indicating the day and time that they will bring their child on August 12th or August 13th for the Meet the Teacher event. On Friday August 14th, transportation will be available. The class day will be from 8am to 2pm, with buses beginning to load at 1:30pm and parent pickup beginning at 1:45pm. As of August 17th, the school day will be from 8am to 3pm. Buses will begin loading at 2:35pm and parent pickup will begin at 2:45pm.
