Fayette County Coroner David Harris Sunday announced that a three-year-old child was a drowning victim in Fayette County.
Fayette County Sheriff Ronnie Stevens contacted Coroner Harris Friday evening regarding the child’s death. Coroner Harris said the child was from Centralia, but the incident occurred at a rural Fayette County residence. The child was transported to Sarah Bush Lincoln Fayette County Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Coroner Harris is not releasing the name of the child, nor the location of the death. He said that the manner of death was accidental.
