The North Clay school board approved a three-year contract with the North Clay Education Association at this month’s meeting.
The contract calls for increases of 6%, 6% and 5%, as well as health insurance increases, additional personal days, an additional sick day per year, and increases in the retirement incentive.
North Clay track coach Dustin Smith presented information regarding the track program and how to reduce costs as well as potential ways to generate revenue.
Board members approved a high school student handbook policy regarding cell phones for the coming school year.
In personnel moves, the North Clay board accepted Nicole Boose’s resignation as a paraprofessional, hired Kaitlyn Eade as a paraprofessional, accepted the resignation of Devin Hilfirty as senior class sponsor, approved an unpaid leave for Brenda Warner, hired Bailey Burdine as a permanent substitute, hired Cameron Stone as a permanent substitute, and set the district superintendent pay for the coming school year.
