Inches of rainfall are reported as the result of overnight thunderstorms in the Effingham County area.
Most of the storm activity has moved to near the Jasper County line, but four to seven inches of rainfall has been reported.

In Effingham, trees are down, with a report of a tree through the roof of a house in on Dogwood Avenue in Homewood Subdivision. The bulk of the storm arrived just after 1am.
Out in the county, there are reports of a couple of trees and power lines down, and roads with water across them.
