Effingham County Fair Board President Philip Hartke has announced that the Freedom Truck will be a part of this year’s Effingham County Fair.
Hartke said, “The Declaration of Independence was passed on July 4, 1776. It was then sent to be printed. The actual signing of the document took place on August 2, 1776. This year on August 2 will be the first full day for the Freedom 250 Museum at the Effingham County Fair. Exactly 250 from the signing date.”
Hartke invites local residents to the Grand Opening of the exhibit on August 2.
