There was a partial train derailment Tuesday morning in Neoga.
Neoga Police Chief Andrew Schabbing said four or five cars of the grain train were involved, but none of them overturned. No one was injured.
The incident occurred around 8am. Schabbing said the 7th Street crossing was open around 11:25am, but the 5th Street and 6th Street crossings were still closed at mid-afternoon.
Schabbing said Neoga residents call the rail line the “old Nickel Plate” line. He doesn’t know what caused the derailment.
