With just days remaining until the celebration, the Effingham Sunrise Rotary Club is reminding community members to join them for the USA 250: Let Freedom Ring Cookout on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the Courthouse Lawn in downtown Effingham.
The event will feature great food, patriotic music by Lady Liberty, and family-friendly fun as the community comes together to commemorate our nation’s historic 250th anniversary. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for four Holiday World tickets, generously donated to help make the celebration even more memorable.
Food items available for purchase include:
• Porkburgers – $5
• Hot Dogs – $4
• Chips – $1
• Soda & Water – $2
Community members are encouraged to bring their family, friends, and lawn chairs to enjoy this special celebration.
Proceeds from the cookout will benefit the 2026 Turkey Drop for Veterans, helping support local veterans and their families.
The event is presented by the Effingham Sunrise Rotary Club and made possible through the support of generous sponsors.
