The Tractor and Truck pull scheduled for 5 p.m. tonight at the Jasper County Fair has been postponed.
The fairgrounds received 1 1/2″ of rain, on top of the 4″ the fair received Sunday, making it impossible to prep the track for a pull tonight.
The classes scheduled for tonight will have the opportunity to pull, weather permitting, Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. followed by the ITPA Pull at 7 p.m. Saturday, weather permitting.
The fairgrounds will be open this evening and the 4-H auction at 3 p.m. will continue as scheduled. Carnival rides will open, if it is safe to do so, and vendors will be open at 6 p.m. for participants to enjoy an evening at the fair with no gate admission tonight. Only the grandstand event is affected.
Friday night’s scheduled Donkey Races will take place, weather permitting. The fairgrounds, vendors, and carnival will be open Saturday afternoon and evening to enjoy a day at the fair.
