The Shumway Fire Protection District has learned that two of the district’s outdoor warning sirens have stopped working.
The sirens on Holden Avenue and on Nazarene Road are not working. The sirens quit working during the last round of storms, and officials have been told the sirens are beyond repair.
Shumway Fire District trustees say they are at work to get the sirens replaced, but have been told it could take weeks. Trustees wanted residents of those areas to be aware in case of additional bad weather.
