Late Monday afternoon, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office cancelled the emergency alert which had closed Copeland Road, 1800 East, for several hours this morning and afternoon. That area is directly south of Shelbyville.
Reports indicated that there was a standoff between police and a suspect inside of a house, with a suspect being taken into custody mid-afternoon.
