The Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Foundation will host its 37th annual Golf Benefit on June 12 at Mattoon Golf and Country Club. Net proceeds from this year’s outing will support Expanding Hope, a campaign to help fund a much-needed expansion of the Regional Cancer Center. Both the morning and afternoon flights are full, but donations to support the campaign are still accepted.
“The Golf Benefit is a great way to bring the community together for a day of outdoor fun,” SBL Special Events Officer Kim Lockart said. “As SBL continues to grow, we are grateful the
community recognizes the importance of supporting both our physical growth and the expansion of important programs and services.”
Community members can also get involved by purchasing raffle tickets for a terrific raffle prize.
This year’s prize features a week-long stay at the Hilton Vacation Club Mystic Dunes resort in Kissimmee, Florida, from August 1 to August 8. The winner will stay in a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo with sleeping for eight and receive $1,500 in travel cash. The property features a golf course, four swimming pools, an arcade/gameroom and is just minutes from Walt Disney World and Universal Theme Parks. Tickets are $10 each, but a buy-one-get-one free deal is available through June 11. The drawing will be held June 12 at the event, but you need not be present to win.
